Every open mic, slam, and community event at Spotlight Poetry runs on volunteer power. Since 2021, we've been building a space where Las Vegas poets can be heard, and we can't keep the spotlight on without people like you. If you have a few hours to give, we have a place for you. Whether you write poetry, love it, or just want to be part of something good, we'd love to have you on our team.
Ways To Help:
Open Mics
Help us welcome poets and audiences, manage the sign-up list, and keep the night running smoothly.
Poetry Slams
Support our slams by keeping time, keeping score, checking guests in, and making sure every poet feels supported when they step on stage.
Community Outreach Events
Bring poetry beyond our regular venues. Help us connect with schools, local organizations, and neighbors through workshops, pop-up events, and community partnerships.
Something Else

Who Can Volunteer
Everyone is welcome: students, professionals, poets, and first-timers. Volunteers under 18 will need a parent or guardian's consent.
