This workshop helps poets refine their poems using practical embodiment techniques suited to their own style. Participants will perform in a supportive group setting and receive constructive feedback on delivery and stage presence, leaving with greater confidence and concrete tools for their next reading, slam, or open mic.

About the Teaching Artist: Pastiche Queen is a Latindigenous performance artist from Denver, CO currently based in West Hollywood, CA. Pastiche’s work centers non-extractive practices and indigenous reclamation through storytelling. They are a founding member of the West Hollywood slam team—champions of the ill List Slam Invitational—a proud member of Da Poetry Lounge slam team, most recently garnering 2nd place at The SoFried National Tournament, as well as individually winning the title of 2026 rookie of the year.
Outside of the poetry world, Pastiche is an award-winning theatrical director, playwright, and creative writing coach whose work has been featured on Apple TV’s ‘Dear: Viola Davis’ as well as facebook’s “queer community leaders of color” initiative before the company turned completely evil. They’re femme, they’re trans, they’re FROM ANOTHER DIMENSION???????
