ASHAMII HENDERSON

Ashamii Henderson is a 22 year old teacher, poet, and artist. She has always had a love for writing since a young girl. She first competed her senior year of high school when she placed 3rd place in the BSU Poetry Slam. After a few years off she rediscovered her appetite for writing at Spotlight Poetry’s Open Mic Night at Level One Bar & Lounge, she also placed 2nd place in Spotlight’s Bring the Versus Slam in October 2021. Ashamii is the cultivator of Divine Rhymes open mic and has hosted at The Truth Spot, one of Las Vegas’ founding open mics.
