Heyyyy Poet! Step into the light of Spotlight Poetry! Whether you’re here to spit your truth, test out new work, cheer on friends, or just vibe with a room full of creatives, this is the place to be! We celebrate every poet from first-timers to seasoned pros. Come feel the magic, grab the mic, and shine with us!
Spotlight Poetry Open Mics are Pay What You Can, which means we take any donations to count towards admission. Whether you have $.01 or $100 in your pocket, any donation will get you into the room! All donations go towards creating more accessible poetry programming for the community!
OPEN MIC RULES:
1) SIGN-UPS OPEN @7:30P AT THE VENUE! SHOW STARTS AT 8:00P
ONLY 10 PERFORMANCE SPOTS AVAILABLE.
2) OPEN MIC WILL BE LOTTERY STYLE. ORDER WILL BE CHOSEN AT RANDOM.
3) POETS GET 5 MINUTES ON THE MIC!
4) NO HATE SPEECH ALLOWED! NO RACISM, HOMOPHOBIA, SEXISM, ABLEISM, OR XENOPHOBIA!
5) RESPECT THE MIC! WHEN A POET IS ON THE STAGE GIVE THEM YOUR FULL ATTENTION AND SUPPORT!
